For years now we have continued to ask why the SST45 and SST60 motors run here stateside have not been taken off life support and replaced with a more reliable, readily available motor such as the Tohatsu 50 for SST45 and The Merc 60 h.p. in-line four-cylinder 60 EFI Formula Race outboard for SST-60. Guess we will continue to remain in the dark on why these motor are not run in the states. Yes, we have heard over the years that they are all much slower than the SST45 and SST60 run in the states, and do not produce the same horsepower. So, is that still the reason?
