Good evening:

I just got off the phone with Marine Racing Club Commodore Bill Pavlick, and he asked me to deliver an update concerning the 2020 Stock, Modified and Junior Nationals.

Despite what is currently happening in the U.S. and world regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, MRC is forging full-steam ahead and continues to plan that the Nationals will be held on our original scheduled date of July 13-19 in Springfield, Ohio.

We remain optimistic that the four months preceding the Nationals will provide ample time for the situation to resolve, and a return to a sense of normalcy.

Of course, as with everyone else, we are monitoring day-to-day developments and news. And if anything changes that will deter our optimism and force our hand, we will keep you all in the loop.

In the meantime, please be mindful of these extraordinary and unprecedented times. Buy only the things you need. Perform regular wellness checks on older relatives, friends and those who may need assistance. Help each other. Be kind. Wash your hands often. And use common sense.

Be well. See you at the races.

Marine Racing Club LLC Secretary/Treasurer
