High winds wreak havoc during opening day races on both coasts

From Yelm, Washington to Millville, NJ Mother Nature had her heart set on making things difficult for season openers across the country. As of this writing, we cannot confirm if the west coast drivers made it in the water at Yelm, Washington on Saturday afternoon. We do know that Saturday Millville, NJ was put on wind hold for the entire day with sights set on Sunday if the weather gods cooperate.

Down South, the Alky burners of the USTS were able to salvage Saturday at Lake Alfred, Florida as Friday was lost to the wind. Racing across all three venues is slated to start up again on Sunday afternoon.

More news after the break.
