Coniston Power Boat Records Week 2017 - Day 5

Friday 3rd November 2017

Day 5 2017

The final day of Records Week 2017 started with Matt Wood taking to the water but after trying hard all week, it wasn’t to be a record week for him. Instead Matt and passenger Lucy Bannon are celebrating after Matt proposed at the beginning of the week.

After a very successful week of 49 entries, 182 runs and 25 records broken, most of the competitors were spent forces so with only 10 takers for attempts on the measured Kilometre, Julian Clegg was the only run of the final day to break a record. After 8 runs during the week, Julian has finally settled his Inshore Gas Turbine record at 104.84mph.

Records week has been a tremendous success this year with increased number of entries and spectators throughout the week.
