What a busy couple of weeks.
Piston ring failure last Saturday while testing. The engine was completely rebuilt during the week and run in Thursday night for the weekends racing.
Spent all day Saturday chasing issues which ended up being ECU related and no time on the water.
Come back today with the ECU re-mapped and finished 4th after qualifying 6th out of 12 entries in the Arch Spooner Trophy for the Australian Unlimited Outboard Championship.
Adam won Heat 1 of the Dargle Gold Cup and qualified 3rd fastest for the final. Unfortunately in the final while chasing down the Supercharged Displacement boat ‘Decision’ for 2nd place, Adam got loose in the wake and blew over backwards at just under 200km/h.
The boat was packed away shortly after being recovered and taken to the teams workshop to be pulled down and checked over. The engine has been run back up tonight and is ready to race another day.
Adam is ok but has been taken to Hospital by the medics for scans as a precaution. The boat requires cosmetic repairs but is structurally ok.
Thank you to Cracka Racing for putting their faith in COHEN Performance. This was a really promising start. A big thanks also to Joel Smith for assisting with loan of some props and ecu equipment.
