Toronto Outboard Racing Club

This is a sad day in the Toronto Outboard Racing Clubs history.

The executive has decided to CANCEL all events for the 2020 race season due to the ongoing difficulties of Covid-19 pandemic.

There was a lot of question to be answered with regards to townships allowing the use of parks and bigger gatherings right down to sponsors giving money after being shut down for months as well as insurance and medical personal to name a few.

So with that, the decision was made to keep everyone safe on both sides of the fence (racers & spectators). I know this will not be the most popular decision but its one that had to be made never the less. The club is in a good way and at the end of the day, we would like to keep it that way for our future endeavors.

The Ottawa Valley Club has also regrettably come to the same decision and will be canceling their Beaver Lake-Erinsville race as well. (contact Mike Rorke for more info)

So with that being said, we will regroup for the 2021 season to make it a great one!!!!

Please be advised all paid 2020 TORC memberships will be carried over to the 2021 season (new cards will be issued after November 2020).

Again I would like to ask for your understanding of this decision, it was not easy. Any questions please direct them to myself or one of the other executive members and stay safe and have a great summer!

Thanks

TORC President,

Rob Dixon
