In accordance with the restrictions on travel and group gatherings amid COVID-19 concerns, the NGK Spark Plugs F1 Powerboat Championship, along with our staff, will continue to rely on the input and advice from the World Health Organization (WHO), National, State, and Regional government health authority guidelines throughout this unpredictable period to safeguard the fans, competitors and all of the motor sport community. The situation is fluid and unpredictable making it the right time to assess the situation and make the right decisions with our promoters to ensure the safety of everyone involved. At this time, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the Baytown, Texas regional event scheduled for April 5 and the Angola Indiana national event scheduled for June 12-14. We are currently working to secure an additional event for a full 2020 schedule. As we navigate the coming weeks, we will have constant communication with APBA HQ to evaluate the remaining events on an individual basis. As of right now, the Port Neches, Texas event is still on the schedule. We understand teams and fans will have many questions as we are working through all of the effects these announcements have. We will use our social media platforms and to communicate our policies and procedures as soon as we are able, updating as necessary along the way. The NGK Spark Plugs F1 Powerboat Championship along with all of our partners extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all of the talented doctors, nurses, medical professionals and emergency services personnel who are working tirelessly to address this matter of public health. We are committed to band our entire family of teams, partners, promotors, and cities together by taking care of the people and looking out for one another. In these unprecedented times our circumstances may change daily, we thank you for your patience
